A native of Los Angeles, I earned my B.A. in Political Science from Occidental College in Los Angeles in 1990.
I earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Kent State University in 1999, after completing an internship at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. In 2000 I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in forensic psychology for the Summit County court system in northeastern Ohio.
I relocated with my family to Portland in 2000, working for over a year for Older Adults Services at Lifeworks Northwest. During that time I became licensed as a psychologist in Oregon. From 2001 to April 2007, I worked at Wildwood Psychiatric Resource Center, an interdisciplinary group practice in Beaverton that provides a broad range of services, including specializing in pregnancy and postpartum related psychiatric disorders.
I currently work in private practice in downtown Portland. In my therapy work, I specialize in pregnancy and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders. I also treat adolescents and a general adult population, in the areas of mood and anxiety disorders, grief counseling, trauma recovery, life transitions, relationship issues, perinatal loss, and stress management. In my assessment work, I specialize in criminal forensic evaluations, including competency, sanity, and risk assessment evaluations.
